Our Brief
Crawford University Alumni UK is a Not-For-Profit Alumni organisation, established in 2018 to support and promote Crawford University and its alumni. We provide a network where alumni and friends can join us to create awareness about Crawford University, network and support our alma mater.
Crawford University received the operating license from the Federal Government of Nigeria on 9th June 2005.
Through the help of God, the University was opened to the first batch of students on 30th September 2005. After one week of orientation, lectures commenced on Monday, 10th October 2005.
An impressive Matriculation Ceremony was held for the two hundred and thirty-five pioneer students on 20th December 2005. Our Vision is to be a Centre of Excellence; producing graduates with a well-balanced education.
Our Mission is to be an International Institution of Higher Learning with enviable standards of teaching and research.
Our Philosophy is to develop individuals to the point of self-actualization, thereby equipping them intellectually and morally to contribute meaningfully to the development of Nigeria and by proxy, the world at large.
Our overriding aim is to translate Crawford University into a world-class tertiary educational institution in the shortest time.
Caretakers
The caretakers are individuals who have volunteered to help set up the alumni and to achieve her goals.

Dr. Moses Akazue
Moses received a BSc in Computer Science from Crawford University (2009). After a brief period of working as a System Analyst at Ecobank, and as a Technical Trainer at ExxonMobil, he went on to pursue a Masters degree in Advanced Computer Science at the University of St Andrews, Scotland (2011). While studying at the University of St Andrews, Moses had the opportunity to work with the St Andrews HCI Research group (SACHI) on a project titled ‘Typographic Information Visualisations’.
After his MSc degree, Moses returned briefly to work at ExxonMobil as a Technical System Analyst, before deciding to pursue a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction. Moses received his PhD degree in 2018 from Glasgow Caledonian University. His research training straddles the fields of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Data Science and Computing Science Education. Moses has had the opportunity to lead multiple research projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders across multiple institutions including the University of Glasgow, University of Maryland (College Park), University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Caledonian University, University of St Andrews and Heriot-watt University.
Moses currently works as a Research Associate at the University of Glasgow and a Lecturer at the University of Ghana.

Dr. Chidozie Mgbemena
Chidozie has a PhD in Computer Science and an MSc in Information Systems from Brunel University London. He currently lives with his wife in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and runs a data and tech enthusiast meet-up group in the same area.

Ayo Adegbaju
Ayo Adegbaju is a graduate of Geology and Mineral Sciences from Crawford University, ’12 set. She worked with Santander UK as a business analyst and received an award as the best performing staff of the year. She proceeded later to embark on a postgraduate program. Prior to joining Santander UK, she worked with Danvic Petroleum International, Nigeria. She currently has just finished her postgraduate study. Ayo now holds a masters in International Business Management from Coventry University in United Kingdom where she finished with distinction and awarded course tutor’s prize for her overall academic achievement. She is a member of Chartered Management Institute and Project Management Institute, UK chapters.
Outside the professional sphere, Ayo doubles between being a homemaker and volunteer; she loves to give back to her community in Leicester, UK. She is happily married and has a blessed family.
